_TriStar Ashland City Medical Center – Ashland City, TN_ _Armed Security Officer_ TriStar Ashland City is a designated Critical Access Hospital (CAH) through a federal program designed to ensure rural populations have access to excellent local hospital care. Under CAH, TriStar Ashland City maintains 12 inpatient beds to treat patients with non-life threatening illnesses, an array of diagnostic services, and emergency care close to home.
The Armed Security Officer is responsible for the protection of patients, visitors, staff, and, property at TriStar Ashland City Medical Center. Officer patrols the TACMC campus, buildings and grounds to mitigate possible risk to patients, employees and visitors and responds to codes and alarms through appropriate protocols.

_Responsibilities:_ __ 1. Maintain professional appearance, uniform and equipment standards, at all times. 2. Maintain professional demeanor at all times while on duty. 3. Maintain training and firearms standards in such a manner as to meet HCA affidavit standards. Write professional and cogent reports pursuant to on-shift events and incidents as required. 4. Work with Microsoft Outlook, Dispatch and video modules, and other software as required. 5. Assist and direct patients, visitors, employees, physicians and others on campus in a manner consistent with the HCA ICARE values and the Code of Conduct. 6. Assist clinical staff with patient safety issues as directed by attending physicians and nurses compliant with established policy and procedure. 7. Assist with behavioral patients, per CMC policy, compliant with CMS regulations at the direction of clinical staff. 8. Respond to calls related to Security; including but not limited to customer service events as needed on-shift. 9. Direct staff, patients, visitors, etc. in the event of an internal or external disaster, fire, or other emergency. 10. Intervene as required in the event of a life threatening incident. 11. Drive company vehicles on private and public roadways as required. 12. Enforce and maintain Security posts as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least one year relevant work experience, preferably in the hospital environment with good customer service and communication skills.
- Current State of Tennessee Armed Security License.
- Current unrestricted Tennessee Drivers’ License.
- CPI Training within 90-days of hire.
