The Assistant Director of Nursing with Quality Assurance Duties assists the DON in managing the department of nursing. The position assists with overseeing the nursing process assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation under the scope of the State s Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure. The position coordinates resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions, and interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient and family satisfaction, adherence to center s clinical systems and regulatory compliance for the center. The ADON with Quality Assurance Duties is responsible for collecting, trending, analyzing and reporting data. Based on data and/or outcomes, the ADON with Quality Assurance Duties in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary team and/or Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee develop and implement Performance Improvement Plans; and in the absence of the Director of Nursing, manages the nursing department.
