Job Summary:

Provides basic first aid care to fans attending various events at two of the major venues in Cleveland to include Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides basic first aid care to fans attending various events at two of the major venues in Cleveland to include Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena.

  • Performs primary assessment and documents findings.

  • Works on an as needed basis to ensure medical coverage at sporting venues.

  • Triages and determination of treatment/discharge plan.

  • Administers oral IV or injectable medications.

  • Collaborates with Emergency department physicians and calls patient reports to receiving hospitals.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Registered nurse in the State of Ohio, capable of providing basic first aid, assessment of injured and ill fans

Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Two years in Emergency department or critical care area

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to care for injured or ill fans, ability to transfer patient from bed to patient cot Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
