Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
The Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC) will design and direct the implementation of a behavior modification intervention plan, which is individualized to each child or adolescent, and to family needs. While maintaining some direct contact with child and family, the BSC will work in collaboration with other members of a treatment team. The Behavioral Specialist Consultant will primarily provide assessment, program design, and monitoring.
Provide individual and group therapy, choosing applicable modalities according to individual needs and treatment plans
Provide mini-treatment team leadership
Completion of the assessments/evaluations (FBA, FA, ABA, variety of motivational and risk assessment)
Development and monitoring of the individual behavioral support interventions, crisis plans
Participate in the team meetings and additional consultation as needed
Provide on-going training to the (internal and external) program staff, in order to properly address the needs of the population being served
Work collaboratively with the program's psychiatric nurse, pharmacist, and psychiatric nurse, pharmacist, and psychiatrist to coordinate medication monitoring and adjustment

Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related discipline.
One year experience in related field with documented behavior modification training.
Must have at least 12 credit hours in clinical coursework.
Documentation of training in Behavior Modification techniques is required.
BSC Licensure is required
This position is field based to provide treatment to clients and requires a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
