Assess residentsinitially and ongoing to ensure residents needs can be met by the assistedliving community. Performs the following according to Good Samaritan policiesand procedures, and federal, state, and location requirements:Interviews potential residents and assesses residents in compliance withregulations and policy and procedure. Uses assessment information foradmission and continued stay in the assisted living community. Ensures allresidents meet assisted living qualifications as identified in the occupancyagreement. Establishes a service plan for each resident and evaluates on anon-going basis. Responsible for initial and annual instruction and competencyverification of unlicensed staff. Delegates nursing tasks to competentunlicensed staff in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act. Isresponsible for overall manage ment of medications, including set up ofmedications or delegating the administration of medications following Statespecific rules and providing clinical support regarding unusual resident orstaff events or medication issues. Works under the direction of thesupervising RN, preforms tasks as delegated.Reports changes to RN supervisoror appropriate healthcare provider for direction and consultation.Communicates with physician appropriately. Assures physician's orders arenoted and processed. Monitors overall health status of residents and documentsobservations and care provided to residents appropriately. Receives and sharesinformation with direct care staff. Communicates with resident family membersappropriately. Directs and assists with resident, family/significant othereducation. Provides and documents educational in-services in health relatedareQualifications* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensure for state of practiceis required.
