With more than 450 physicians, 4,700 employees, and 1,100 volunteers, Cape Cod Healthcare operates two-acute care hospitals, the Cape's leading provider of homecare and hospice services (VNA), a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility (JML Care Center), an assisted living facility (Heritage at Falmouth), the Cape's only local laboratory service (CCHC Laboratory Services) and numerous health programs. We are currently seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Falmouth Hospital. SUMMARY Provides security and safety to all persons on campus as well as being responsible for the security of all property and buildings under the control of the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Practices according to entity mandatory requirements. Practices according to department expectations. Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities. Complies with all administrative policies and procedures. Demonstrates basic computer ability. Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills. Responds appropriately in crisis situations. Utilizes internal and external resources for optimizing care. Documents according to practice standards. Provides a secure and safe facility environment. Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents, adults, older adults. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma plus basic technical training, usually less than one year. More than 6 months but less than one year. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Massachusetts Drivers License required. I.A.H.H.S. membership and basic training preferred. Basic Life Support and Crisis Prevention Training within 6 months of position.
