/Position Overview/

We are currently seeking a resource Phlebotomist I for our Lab Support Department in the Glenbrook Hospital region. Coverage for this Phlebotomy region includes inpatient (hospital), outpatient (service centers), and nursing home draw responsibilities. This is a resource/ per diem position and is not benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled on rotating shifts (primarily first and second). Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

/Responsibilities/

In this role, you will:

  • Collect and label blood samples

  • Centrifuge and aliquot specimens

  • Perform chemical analysis on samples and specimens

  • Order and record test results in lab computer system

  • Process samples references to outside laboratories

/Qualifications/

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience in a comparable health setting.

  • CPR certification required; PBT (ASCP) certification is required if less than 1 year of recent Phlebotomy experience

  • Travel between sites is required.
