As a Clinical Quality Analyst, the candidate will provide analysis and strategic support regarding the development and use of clinical quality measures to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and other federal agencies as needed. This position requires knowledge of existing clinical quality measures, an understanding of how measures are developed, and familiarity with clinical quality measure specifications and endorsement.

Key functions: The candidate will be responsible for writing descriptions of measures for clinical quality programs, including their uses and limitations, suitable for a non-technical audience; monitoring and tracking current measures in federal programs; working closely with agency staff to provide strategic advice based on a clinical understanding of quality measurement issues; and assisting with the development of technical products such as research papers, briefing papers, environmental scans, and recommendations for quality program implementation.


  • Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field

  • Nursing or healthcare quality measure credentials strongly preferred

  • Strong writing skills

  • 5 years relevant experience, with healthcare quality measures and clinical standards a plus

  • Willingness to travel to the Woodlawn (Baltimore), MD facility 3-4 times per week, and as needed, to meet with federal sponsors
