Position Summary: Coordinates the organization-wide performance improvement program, the risk management program and assures compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition, this role oversees the infection control, employee education and medical staff services.
Essential Job Functional: Oversees the development, coordination and evaluation of effective hospital wide quality management programs Oversee the peer review processes including understanding medical staff peer review, fair hearing, bylaws etc. Directs broad operations to ensure facility wide compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care and service design and development of organizational policies that reflect the mission of the organization Continuously assesses, measures and improves departmental performance Demonstrates responsible management of all Quality Management Departmental resources Demonstrates managerial competency. Ensures that the professional development needs of management and staff are met.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors of Science in Nursing or related clinical health care field, and CPHQ certification. Masters degree preferred. Minimum five-eight years experience in nursing or health care management. Minimum of three-five years experience in performance improvement and/or risk management. Extensive knowledge of various regulatory agencies and their standards, JCAHO, State of Oregon, and CMS, etc. Experience in utilization and case management, infection control, education and medical staff services regulations and requirements.
