Iowa Employer Assistant Professor in the Division of N in MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa

Iowa Wesleyan University is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nursing to begin in August 2017. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track teaching position. As an Assistant Professor the responsibility is teaching nursing students in the classroom, the clinical environment, and online. A full time nursing faculty must possess the knowledge skills and attitudes of management and leadership, organizational strengths, strong interpersonal and communication skills, current clinical and professional skills. A typical workload for a faculty member is 27 semester hours per academic year. The current expectation is that the faculty member will also have weekly office hours totaling 5-7 each week. Some teaching in the evenings, weekends and summer months may be part of this contractual agreement.Qualifications:iA Masteris degree with a Major in Nursing Education or a Terminal Degree in Nursing.
