JOB REQUIREMENTS: This casual opportunity (less than 20 hrs/wk) performs the functions of a nursing assistant in carrying out all specific non-nursing duties as assigned and assists RNs and LPNs with direct patient care. Performs reception and secretarial functions as listed. Applicant must be able to work day, evening and night shifts any day of the week or weekend. We pay shift differentials for evening, night and weekend hours. Duties: Performs selected patient care activities for patients: (OB: neonatal, adolescent, adult patients) (Med-Surg: postnatal, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients). Communicates effectively as an advocate of patient care. Maintains unit order, cleanliness and safety. Demonstrates personal/professional development. Assists with Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities when needed. Promotes an environment of teamwork, customer service and positive communications.
