SSM Health Manager Employee Engagement and Communications in St. Louis, Missouri
This position is instrumental in developing the human capital of the organization as a critical component in accomplishing business goals. Directs the design, planning, and implementation of organizational programs and processes to support a culture of high performance.
Areas of responsibility include:
Manager and Supervisor Development
The Manager will work with Hospital Revenue Cycle Shared Services leaders to transform PBS into a sustainable high performing organization. The Manager will build organizational and leadership capabilities through development initiatives and improved employee engagement. The incumbent will provide consultative oversight to assigned projects which require partnering with senior leaders in multiple divisions to drive change; contributing significantly to the development and roll-out of change and organizational effectiveness methodologies. The Manager will work to drive faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization and higher proficiency with the changes impacting employees in the SSM Hospital Revenue Cycle Organization such that business results are achieved.
Develops strategies and sponsors key initiatives to promote employee engagement and retention.
Implements programs that proactively drive a positive and empowered work culture across a wide variety of employee backgrounds and issues.
Creates and implements programs that connect employees with business goals.
Collaborates with leaders in developing action plans based on employee engagement survey results and other data.
Plans and facilitates organizational events including but not limited to the annual employee event, holiday events, etc.
Collaborates with and builds relationships across functional divisions and facilities.
Leads the Employee Council Team in making PBS a better place to work by taking proactive definitive steps to improve employee engagement and plays an active role in keeping a continuous cycle of communication going between employees and PBS leadership.
Identifies key employee groups/audiences within Patient Business Services and determines the most appropriate, efficient, and effective ways to communicate with these audiences.
Develops and delivers a systematic communication strategy among employees.
Works across projects to ensure communication and engagement issues are identified and addressed.
Partners with regional and System communications team to post local event photos and recognition to social media and contributes stories for use on-line both internally and externally.
Collaborates with leadership in planning and providing Town Hall Meeting, Management Team meetings, and other meeting types.
Creates presentations and other written communications to support PBS leaders
Conducts organizational wide needs assessment to determine performance, identify skills or knowledge gaps, and develop programs to improve leadership skills and behaviors.
Uses consultative skills to understand the organization’s strategies and operational challenges, and help design, implement, and coordinate development programs that help the organization expand its organizational capabilities and achieve its strategic goals.
Collaborates with leadership in planning and providing the annual leadership summit.
Establishes relationships with subject matter experts, leaders, and stakeholders to support areas of development activity.
Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resource or other related field.
3-5 years of related experience required
