Job Description:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Specialst, Revenue Cycle. The Learning Specialist delivers end user training on assigned Epic functionality at initial roll out, as needed for new employees and as required for the implementation of new functionality. Additionally, this role provides training and on-site assistance to physicians, nurses and other staff to support correct utilization and optimization of this and other technologies. This positon will build, test and maintain the training environments and materials used for training users and support personnel.


  • Under moderate supervision, plans, organizes, schedules and delivers training to end users and support personnel.

  • Interacts with senior and middle management, clinicians and front line staff on a regular basis to identify and support customers’ learning needs.

  • Builds, tests, and maintains the Epic training environments to ensure they accurately reflect the Production environment in order to provide realistic and comprehensive training of the Epic application(s).

  • Develops and maintains end user training materials and performance support tools to support predefined learning objectives and promote end user learning and system acceptance. Monitors training feedback and with supervisor oversight, modifies training and/or approach as needed to meet learners’ needs and expectations.

  • Works with project implementation teams to assist in workflow and system designs, implementation decisions and system testing for small to midsize projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training/healthcare experience in lieu of degree

  • Strong presentation, facilitation skills and public speaking experience

  • Ability to foster and maintain relationships throughout all levels of the organization

  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to successfully complete the in house Epic Credentialed Trainer program

Decision Making:

  • With supervisor oversight, must be able to independently research software design and use to develop training materials for end user and support personnel.

  • Monitors training feedback and with supervisor oversight, modifies training and/or approach as needed to meet learners’ needs and expectations.
