Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville, a full-service 98-bed hospital serving Erath and surrounding counties, is hiring for a full time Facilities Manager.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the performance of the Plant Operations / Engineering staff responsibilities on a given hospital campus, including, but not limited to, efficiency of day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, energy management, financial management, staff efficiency and productivity, and quality of services delivered. This position functions as the THS Accreditation and Safety Officer.
Prefer: Safety Officer experience and CHSP certification
Minimum education and experience:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent required, Associate's Degree in related field preferred.
Five years of facility management experience with an emphasis on healthcare, 2 years in a supervisory or leadership level role.
Current Texas Drivers license.
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training due within 60 days of hire, CHSP-Certified Healthcare Safety Professional certification required within 2 years of hire.
Organizational skills, sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, strong operational background. Team player, articulate, able to relate to people at all levels. Good educator willing to share information and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Practices. Strong Knowledge of Industry Regulations and Standards - ASHE, TJC, OSHA, TDSHS, ASHRAE, HIPPA
Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to ensure effective day-to-day departmental operations, responsible for managing all engineering and maintenance workload through the CMMS, maintain adequate documentation of activities, implement construction project and contractor coordination, manage vendors, participate in strategic planning as requested.
SAFETY OFFICER / REGULATORY / CODE COMPLIANCE
Functions as the Entity Safety Officer to assure that all Life Safety Code and Joint Commission standards are followed, develop a safety program to include employee, staff, patients, and visitors, maintain eSOC, participate in rounding as requested, participate in EOC committee as requested, maintain safety and regulatory related
documentation. Responsible for the oversight of contract security personnel.
HUMAN RESOURCES – STAFF MANAGEMENT
Manage supervisory personnel, manage FTEs, evaluate staffing and qualification requirements, schedule employee hours, monitoring attendance and timekeeping, promotes professional growth.
Maintains accountability, authority, and responsibility for development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of operation and capital budget.
SATISFACTION / CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Ensure process for measuring, assessing, and improving patient outcomes and patient satisfaction, document internal satisfaction, develop continuous improvement programs, collaboration with customer groups for improved performance.
