Saturday weekend call shifts are required and rotated amongst staff per 6-week schedule. Full Time / Part Time: Pool/As Needed - no Benefits FTE: 0.01 Completes transport of patients via cart/bed to and from Surgery, Day Surgery, the Emergency Department and Inpatient Departments before and after surgery. Reviews information on the patient prior to transport. Seeks clarification from appropriate resources when necessary. Assists in patient care when deligated by RNs (example: empty foley, perform point of care blood glucose testing). Stocks nurse servers within the department. Cleans carts after use. Transports specimens from OR to histology and lab Delivers care in a nonjudgmental and nondiscriminatory manner that is sensitive to client diversity, while preserving and protecting client autonomy, dignity, and rights. Completes department orientation competency checklist for this specific position. Completes annual competency checklist for this specific position. Cross-trains to Day Surgery dept CNA role once competence and proficiency in PACU transporter/CNA role acquired.
