Sutter Health Cardiac Nurse Practitioner - Transplant & Heart Specialty Services, Sacramento (Per Diem) in Sacramento, California
The Nurse Practitioner provides age and specialty appropriate patient diagnosis, treatments/procedures, education, consultation, and follow-up under the supervision of one or more physicians.
The Acute Inpatient Cardiac Nurse Practitioner (Cardiac NP) manages and coordinates the care of cardiology service patients. This care includes assessment and medical care and treatment utilizing standardized procedures, and multidisciplinary collaboration to provide best hospital outcomes. Population served includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, and interventional cardiology/surgical and medical cardiology practices. Acts proactively in the prevention of short term and long term complications of disease.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Masters in Nursing required.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current California Nurse Practitioner license and furnishing number. Must obtain medical staff privileges within 90 days of accepting position.
BLS -Health Care Provider required.
ACLS is required.
Must understand, speak and write English. Able to speak other languages highly desirable.
Experience as a nurse practitioner preferred. Novice nurse practitioner must have experience in specialty area within the last 3 years.
Prioritizes and manages multiple demands in an ever changing environment.
